Feeling: I’m anxious for her arrival but don’t want her here any sooner than planned since I want her birthday to be a separate occasion from Christmas. Ultimately, this is out of my control and we will just have to wait and see. With the holiday season and her upcoming arrival it’s hard to feel like everything is under control and in order. From laundry, to housework, errands and a to-do list, it’s a feeling of never being able to catch up with what needs to be done. Family and friends have assured me that the feelings won’t subside as long as there are children in the home. It certainly leads to very busy weekends and long workdays. Physically, I am starting to feel uncomfortable at times, but overall it’s not too bad. I continue to be thankful for being blessed with such an amazing pregnancy. She will occasionally surprise me with a sharp, quick movement on the left side of my Pelvis bone. It may sound weird, but when this happens I am thankful for it and will tell her thank you. I imagine it’s her playing with her hands and feet and I want to encourage her to be a playful baby. As for her preference on where she likes to lie, she prefers to stay at the front of my belly. It feels as if she is stretching out towards my belly button.

Symptoms: Not much has changed since the last post. Overall, I am feeling great with mild soreness around my pelvic bones in the evenings. People say she has “dropped”, but I have carried her low the entire time and haven’t noticed a change in her position.

Food Cravings: Sugar. This last trimester has definitely brought about my sweet tooth. Usually a fan of chocolate, I have been craving sour candy… sour skittles, sour gummy rings, sour belts…

Food Aversions: None

Clothes: Still wearing maternity bottoms, and a mix of maternity and loose-fitting pre pregnancy tops.

Weight Gain: 23 lbs… (A loss of three pounds) The doctor didn’t seem concerned and denoted possible causes as appointment time, or clothing attire. He confirmed both her weight and measurements were on track. As for the size of the belly, it has definitely grown. (*side note- next pregnancy: I want to do measurements of the circumference of my belly and document that in addition to weight gain)

Sleep: Overall, I have been sleeping really well with the occasional night of tossing and turning.

Best Moments: Justin assembling her pack/ play and bassinet. Once it was put together, I couldn’t help but look inside her bassinet and imagine our daughter inside. Her travel system is put together and awaiting her arrival. That evening I practiced pushing the stroller around the house. Justin and I went with the Britax B-Agile travel system and so far I am in love with it. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, granted there isn’t an infant in it yet but soon… 🙂 I am definitely looking forward to our family walks around the neighborhood.

Memorable Moments: A few weekends ago, two of my coworkers hosted a Paris themed baby shower for our little princess. Stay tuned for an upcoming post with pictures. We are so thankful for each person who has helped us prepare for the arrival of our daughter. She is definitely one loved little girl.

Nursery Prep: With the addition of her dresser, recliner, and rug her room is nearing completion. The wall shelves and shelving for her closet have been purchased and will be assembled by Daddy soon.

Random: We saw the doctor on 11/18/2013 and were told everything was progressing as it should. As of now, my belly button remains in and stretch marks are not to be seen yet.

Looking Forward to: Our upcoming Maternity photo session, hospital tour, and packing our hospital bags.
